The Louvre sequential discovery puzzle
4 October 2017Craftsman Range puzzle made in July 2017. 325 made. All sold. Original Price: AU$190.00 ( AU$172.73 ex Australian Tax) Some puzzles have resold at Auction…
I made 30 of this version of the puzzle. The puzzles are not numbered like a Limited Edition but now they’re sold I won’t be making them again.
The origins of the design were in another puzzle which I consider to be harder to solve. It has 3 bolts not 4 and I’ve just listed it on the website this week. 3 Wise Bolts.
The object of the puzzle is to open the box and discover your birthday surprise!
To do that you’ll have to take out all 4 of the bolts. All the tools you need to do that are in the puzzle. No external tools are required. So, you’ll need to make the best use of all of those tools to open the box. The first 3 bolts are just a bit tricky but it is the last one that when solved will give you a big ah ha!
Size: 75mm x 75mm x 75mm
The puzzle is made from Queensland Blackbean and Queensland Silver Ash stripes on the outside with Blackbutt centre. Brass bolts and stainless steel pins used.
Many of you will have heard of the Jabberwocky Puzzle Project. If you haven’t seen take a look at this video on YouTube
My contribution to that project is one of the puzzle boxes called Tweedledum And Tweedledee. I submitted it to the 2017 Puzzle Design Competition and the puzzle was one of the Top 10 Vote Getters which I was pretty pleased with.
I only made 18 Tweedledum And Tweedledee puzzles; the exact number required for the Jabberwocky Puzzle Project. But I did make a total of 50 skeletons…. just in case…. As it turned out they all worked and so I was able to change the graphics and offer the remainder as my Birthday Surprise puzzle. It is exactly the same puzzle as Tweedledum And Tweedledee but with a different theme and graphics.
